Each year during the spring legislative session Smart Start organizes a bus load of Mecklenburg citizens to travel to Raleigh to advocate on behalf of small children and their families. We meet with state legislators (House of Representatives and Senators) who represent Mecklenburg County. We invite YOU to go with us!

Changes You Need to Know About for 2011
- Legislators will be seeing us 4 times during the legislative session (Feb 22nd, Mar 15th, Apr 19th & May 24th)
- The trip is free (no $25 charge per person)
- No charter bus, we will carpool and depend on available church buses (if driving, bring cash for parking)
- Lunch and snacks are on your own
- We'll still provide advocacy training packets and materials
- Invite as many people as possible!
