NC Judge Orders Pre-K Services Restored
Recently, Superior Court Judge Howard Manning Jr. demanded lawmakers restore funding for at-risk preschoolers. Local advocates, including Smart Start's Executive Director, Jane Meyer, and Council for Children's Rights, Executive Director, Brett Loftis, said the ruling acknowledges the importance of pre-K programs.
